Blogging from the university computer labs. Bored.
No one wants to go to the Korean restaurant with me. :(
Genetics mid-term coming this friday. I have only been to the lectures once. Hey, that's way better than my Instrumental Analysis subject, of which, I am shamed to say, I have never been to any lectures, yet.
I'm kind of worried though, but this hooky culture has been embeded too deeply in me. I mean, I can't really bring myself to wake up early for that 8am instru lect, no matter how hard I try to. Ok, maybe i didn't try hard enough, but still! 8 am kan?
Anyways, i think my lifestyle of sleeping and waking up late is really unhealthy. I know many of my friends do this as well, it is kinda the norm for us kids (haha! i better use this word more often, because one of these days someone will revoke my right to refer to myself as a kid. Waiddaminit! It has already been revoked! Hehe).
Anyhow, time really flies by very quickly when you're in front of the computer screen. With WMP playing your favourite mandopop and kpop. And with your taskbar blinking perpetually, indicating new messages coming in from messenger. And with all the ridiculously funny blogs around.
Just yesterday night, I sat on my chair at 9pm, vowing to finish my report due tomorrow (today) by 12am.
You guessed it! I just finished it 10 minutes ago. I really wanted to finish it. But then i stumbled upon TV Smith's Duasen parodies. These are super funny, relevant and spot on.

Now tell me, how to do my homework like that?
This entry has absolutely no meaning/objectives, save to share with you the funny website I found.
Cheers, peeps.
My Wedding...
Published by lihua on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 6:27 pm.
Wuah!
Watched Siti Nurhaliza's wedding on TV3 last night.
Oh my, what a B-E-A-U-Tiful wedding.
What is my dream wedding?
My dream wedding (as of today, 29th August 2006) would be a simple affair on the beach.
Maldives, Redang, Gem Island or Sipadan. Or Seychelles. Drools...
But for all practical purposes, a wedding at Redang will be perfect enough. Cheap ma...
Arrival by speedboat, with my entourage of white fairies (my girlfriends, haha!).
The walk down the aisle will be replaced by a walk down the jetty...
nice, kan?
Of course, walking with white, pointy heels on those planks will be asking for trouble. So, I shall walk down the 'jetty' barefoot. Of course, with fabulously manicured nails. A wedding gown with a loooooong trail on that jetty would be fabulous. Coupled with professional photographing maybe from KidChan, it'll look like a scene straight out of the movies!
Wedding Vows Location
Hehe. Anyone watched the Sammi Cheng Richie Ren show? Summer Holiday. There was one part where the wedding vows were read in the water, in a heart-shaped floral bouquet or whatever you call that thing... Nice! :)
Of course, with family members and selected close friends around, it will be a pretty close knite affair. Simple!
Romantic....
Later in the evening, a dinner reception will be held on the beach itself, just like in the above picture. Fabulouso. But, i can forsee one pitfall, mosquitoes!!!
Later in the evening, there'll be a fun session with Karaoke, free flow of beer/drinks, dance, campfire thingie where everyone will dance around it.
Then, we'll book the most expensive suite on the island, decorate it with lacey cloths and all that hullabaloo.
And then...
Next day, breakfast on the beach for everyone.
Then free and easy...
Hehe... nice right?
All the traditional rituals will first be performed at KL or wherever, then only very close relatives are flown or sent by bus to Redang.
Wuahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, nice!
Now all I need is rich boyfriend/rich fiance/true love... :)
What's in my pencil case?
Published by lihua on Monday, August 28, 2006 at 5:56 pm.
Haha.
I don't care. I'm gonna blog about my pencil case contents.
Trivial, yes. Nevertheless, my pencil case stores my 'wan sek gah chang', i.e. tools of my trade.
1. Stapler and Bullets
Stapler is one of my most important tool. Procrastinator me will usually finish up reports due on that day itself, in the university. The stapler is for stapling my report together for submission. My stapler bullets are gold-coated. Ok, no they're not. But they're gold coloured. When you wanna impress someone, what better to use than gold. When my lecturer sees my report, his eye will catch the glistening, golden stapler bullet at the left hand corner of the document, and voila, a good impression is achieved. :)
2. Ruler
For whacking classmates. Sometimes also used for drawing lines. This ruler is branded-nia, OXFORD! Been with me since primary 5.
3. China-made pencil with cheap red eraser
Very useful. Ever since i lost the stylus for the pda, i have been poking on the poor touchscreen with whatever that is within arms reach. Dried-out ball point pens, mechanical pencils, pen covers etc sometimes even nails. Ever since i discovered this pencil, i have been using it to poke the touchscreen. Brilliant. Scratch-free.
4. Writing pens
Pens of various red, black and blue. Kilometrico. Faber Castell <-- this pen is cheap but rocks!
5. Marker pens of varying colours
For mindmapping. Blue squares, purple circles, green ovals. Whatever. But i usually only use it when exam is nearing.
Nice! Colourful!
6. Testube labeler
Just a normal Faber Castell fine marker. For marking test tubes, beakers. :)
Aw. What a mundane pencil case. I should spice it up by rearing spiders in matchboxes and keeping it in my pencil case.
That'll make an interesting entry.
What's in your pencil case?
:)
Sorry for wasting your time.
Cheers.
Prince Cafe SS2.
Published by lihua on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 10:58 pm.
This packed Hong Kong style cafe has one of the rudest staff i've ever encountered.
The said person was rude while taking our order, giving us the impression that she was irritated. She was reluctant in answering our queries and gave short answers. More like grunted in reply. Stupid hog.
Since it was almost 4.00pm, I ordered a drink (expensive, RM 5.90), a friend ordered Pork Rice and another one of us didn't want anything.
The rude hog commented to her colleague, well within my earshot, that 'Three people only order two things". Damn rude, kan? Its not like as if we hogged the table and ordered just plain water, but even if we did, it definitely did not warrant such a remark.
I was damn pissed and wanted to ask her name, just to scare her or maybe make a complaint about her. Lucky for her, she did not reappear, prolly hiding because she saw my penetrating stare from afar.
Bitch.
(Pic illegally stolen from this random blog)
Anyways, that's beside the point. Rude staffs are such a turn-off. It'll be awhile before I go there again.
Bleh.
Skinned.

Had a major disagreement with Blogger today. Could not log in on Firefox,
Opera nor IE. Sien. Finally IE worked. Fingers
crossed.
Skinned my blog again, this time with a much simpler template. I like! I'm a simple girl.
Spent the whole nite trying to load this as my header
Damn nice, kan?
Anyways, couldn't. I think its too small. Couldn't be bothered to resize it. bleh. It'll have to wait till tomorrow.
By the way, if you didn't know, the banner is a montage of Goong avatars (created by beautifulxmess@soompi, and some by me of course). Goong is a fictional korean drama about a korean prince (Joo Ji Hoon) and his wife (Yoon Eun Hye). Super nice! My favourite.
Went for dinner at Paramount (somewhere near SS2), in a restaurant patronised by my daddy when he was my age and studying at UM. Omg, thats about 30 years ago. Wow.
No pictures were taken because the Eten's camera is the most horrendous phone camera i have ever come across. Actually, there were some pics i took, but it is damn ugly. I want a decent camera phone!
Heaps of work, still undone. Cell Met demonstrators go pandai pandai change the report format! WTH. So uptight for what?!? Sigh, have to live with it. Procrastinate a bit on that first.
(Notice me struggling to fill up the post? Haha...)
Went for a K session on Wednesday, 23rd August with Cynthia and two newfound friends, Eeling (She wears clothes sized XXS) and Tammy at the newly opened (in July) Neway 1U. On the way to 1u, i found out that Eeling's boyfriend is Yu Chen's coursemate. Small world. Called Yu Chen to gossip a bit about Eeling's boyfriend and Yu Chen, never able to resist a K session, joined us because she had a half-day leave.
Neway 1U is superb, though a tad hidden. You have to take the lift right outside new wing's Long John Silver up to the fifth floor. No other entrances will lead you there. Took me a long time to find, which is rather absurd, since i can almost memorise each and every tenant in 1U. Anyways, it is, like i said, superb.
Cheap! RM 8++ student price, tea set with 1 drink. Nice food as usual, e.g. Unagi rice, BBQ pizza, etc a wide variety. Total bill came up to about Rm 15 each. 4 mics per room! Two wireless, two wired. En suite bathroom! Freaking cool, i'd say.
No more walking to the other end just to pee. Pee right in the room! Fantabulous. No more missing that crucial song that you've been waiting for ages.
I've actually heard about this en suite thing being available for a slightly higher price, in Hong Kong. Didn't think they'd actually bring it here. And is it just me, or the price is the same as usual?
So its damn cool. Go there at least once, just to try peeing in a Karaoke room. Trust me, it is damn weird peeing while listening to your friends sing right outside the loo door.
Korean Food...
Published by lihua on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 5:56 pm.
Have to start studying. Payback time for all the missed lectures
:(
Trying VERY hard to kick my procrastinating habit.
Picture Stolen from masak-masak.blogspot.com
I have been to a few Korean restaurants, the most notable being the one behind Sayfol International School (Restaurant Jung Won). Damn ON that place :).
Anyways, i heard that there is one (cheap!) restaurant serving korean food in Amcorp Mall. Will pay a visit real soon.
I have to update more regularly. I need some regularity in my life. Max two days per update.
I visited Jung Won last month. Still lazy to edit and post up the pics. Will upload Jung Won photos soon. :)
Here's a link to the Amcorp Mall Korean restaurant review.

5. Maybank ATM

8. Driving License (2nd time lost dy)
9. Redbox Card (This one nvm)
10. Juiceworks Loyalty Card (Can almost redeem the free juice dy!)
