21st Bdae Celebration Part (1)

Woots!
I'm 21, finally, after a 21 year wait... (lame attempt at a joke)
Had a sorta 2-day celebration thingie, with the climax being a clubbing session with my girls @ Cafe Flam, Sunway.
See, it wasn't supposed to be a clubbing session. I was duped by the name Cafe. Cafe, my foot. You see, what i wanted was a quaint little cafe (that serve alcohol, of course) for some girly heart-to-heart chat. And to evaluate Samantha's new boyfriend, Eric :). But what i got was a tiny bar-turned-disco instead.
When i arrived, Karen and Takeshi were already inside rotting with boredom :).
Cheng cheng, being the darling that she is, offered to chauffer me to and fro, expecting that by the end of the night i will be too drunk to drive. What a dear... :) Thanks Chng Chng Chng! A short while after Cheng and I arrived, Samantha walked up to us with a very manly Eric in tow... lolz.... They look so absolutely cute together my heart just melted... hahahaha.... I have a very soft spot for Samatha :). Three of us girls took a photograph, with Eric being tasked with photographing us at our best angle. Evaluation Number 1., i thought. Passed with flying colours. Easy task, i'd say, given that all three of us had no bad angles. :)
Then, when Cynthia and Ehua arrived, we were 'escorted' in by the very influential Takeshi :)
The place was packed like sardines, and we were huddled into a small corner with an even smaller table. No chairs provided for this 'special' corner, luckily we had unused amplifiers which we took turns sitting on :). This is the consequence of being VERY indecisive and booking at the very last minute.
But what fun we had. Stingy old us ordered a bottle of Dewars (no freaking idea what it was, but it was the cheapest)... and 12 of us shared it out. Being amatuerish drinkers, there was plenty for everyone... :)
Everyone was high-spirited, and then the unevitable happened...

Sian and See Mun announcing their arrival in a very unglamourous way: Calling me on my monotone/monocolour Nokia phone. I'm using the world's most antique and basic phone :) I'm not complaining though... It has NEVER hanged during crucial situations.
BAH! Photos i took with See Mun and Sian is stored in Sian's Pixel-overloaded Olympus camera (*drools drools). I'll upload them later.
Meanwhile, it was drink drink drink and then off to the dancefloor. Tiny, but still existent dancefloor. Needless to say, PACKED with a capital P. No, PACKED with all letters capitalised. Formed a dancing circle and randomly/sequentially pushed one of us into to circle for some serious booty shaking. No pictures possible given the scarcity of space. Anyway, who in the right mind will bring a Thousand-Over-Ringgit camera into a shoving and prancing crowd to take pictures for blogging? No one.
Sian, Ehua, and most notably manly Eric did NOT join us in our booty shaking session. Eric?!? (Eyebrows raised...) Standing at the corner watching some obsure team playing soccer against another obsure team.
Eunice and boyfriend Brendan was still stuck in some horrible jam at some bridge somewhere. Poor things.

Miss Party Pooper a.k.a. Samantha Tham says she wanna go off... Is she insane??? I haven't even yet had the chance to look at their faces properly!

OBITER DICTUM: Someone mentioned that she came across
her friend's marriage photographs on friendster. Her friend is 20 this year.
Married. I'm 21 in a week's time, single and alone. But happy!
Here I am, hovering on the last days of my twentieth year, blogging in my unkempt room in my parents’ slum of a house in a swanky middle-upper class housing area. Well, not exactly slum of a house, but close to it in terms of the amount of rubbish we store in here. XD.
With my twenty-first just round the corner, I look back and reminisces on my life thus far. Memories conjured shows more failures than successes. Or maybe that’s just because I am self-effacing.
I am overtly boisterous at times while uncompromisingly harsh (on others) the rest of the time. Well, more to the boisterous side, I reckon, but I bet my bottom dollar that my mom begs to differ. But she knows I love her :).
I am a procrastinator. Heck, I even procrastinated my birth. I was born two weeks late after making my mother go through much agony. Wait a minute. I’m still causing my mom agony now. Nevertheless, some of my friends beg to differ. They don’t think I’m a procrastinator. They think I’m just plain lazy.
I am mean. That is, when I’m really irked. But, most of the time, I’m too chicken shit to be mean to anyone else except my family members. I have no galls.
I not smart. For real. And I also have no galls sit for the MENSA test, for deep down I know that I get an average score. Or worse still below average (*horrors*, I’m dumb). But well, these MENSA test are design to favour those mathematically-inclined. Don’t try to put me down based on weak my mathematical ability, you MENSA meanies… i might have other (undiscovered) talents.
But the ugly, green and gooey caterpillar has undergone the last molting in her cocoon and will metamorphosise into a charismatic butterfly. Well, not the best analogy, for I’m rather terrified of insects (butterflies included), but the point has been articulated. I shall molt my fears, imperfections and failures.
I am now fully responsible for my own actions and can vote.
I am old. Wake up, you procrastinating a**, and live life to the fullest :)!
